Introduction to Runway Production Course 2012

An Introduction to Runway Production short course is to be held at the Fashion and Textile Hub in Richmond on Friday 27th July to Sunday 29th July. It is designed to provide a gateway into the highly competitive fashion industry by offering people from all backgrounds a means of rapidly building knowledge, experience and professional connections in Australia's fashion industry.

Students will hear first-hand from leading Australian and international industry figures including Daniel Pizzato (BOH Production Manager London Fashion Week), Mark Thompson (Artistic Events Manager Redken),Yolanda Finch (Head of Creative and Designer Resources LOreal Melbourne Fashion Festival) as well as Melbourne's renowned stylists and fashion designers.

Australia's leading Public Relations Agencies AMPR has teamed up with Runway Production School to offer one lucky graduate of 'Introduction to Runway course', a PR internship working on the 2013 LOreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.

Over 3 days students will learn:

-The different roles in the fashion event industry and their respective responsibilities in creating a runway show. This will include in-depth sessions about styling, hair & make up, production, model casting, set design, lighting and sound, backstage management, collection management and fashion PR.

-How to enter and gain employment in the industry, including personal anecdotes and advice from leading guest speakers.

-How a runway show comes together, from initial collection ideas to show day.
